These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of rclab.fans (the “Platform”, “Service”), a community-driven digital platform (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing or using RCLab Fans, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Purpose of the Platform

RCLab Fans is a community-driven, non-commercial platform designed to help users:

  • document, manage, and organize RC models and components;
  • record configurations, compatibility data, and technical notes;
  • optionally share structured hobby-related information with the community.

The Platform is intended for informational and organizational purposes only and does not provide professional, engineering, or safety advice.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Platform if you:

  • have the legal capacity to accept these Terms;
  • comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. User Accounts

Some features require creating an account.

You agree to:

  • provide accurate and up-to-date information;
  • keep your login credentials secure;
  • take responsibility for all activity under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risks to the Platform or other users.

4. User-Generated Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you submit to rclab (“User Content”).

By submitting User Content, you grant rclab a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, process, display, and distribute such content solely for operating, improving, and presenting the Platform.

This license ends when your content is deleted, except where retention is required for technical, legal, or backup purposes.

4.2 Visibility and Sharing

RCLab Fans allows users to control the visibility of their content.

You may choose to:

  • keep content private;
  • make content publicly visible to other users or visitors.

If you choose to make content public, you acknowledge that:

  • it may be viewed, referenced, or relied upon by others;
  • RCLab Fans cannot control how third parties interpret or use publicly visible information.

4.3 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • the accuracy and completeness of your content;
  • ensuring you have the right to upload and share it;
  • any outcomes resulting from its publication or use.

RCLab Fans does not verify or endorse User Content.

5. Compatibility and Technical Information Disclaimer

All compatibility data, configurations, and technical information on RCLab Fans are community-contributed.

You acknowledge that:

  • such information may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect;
  • compatibility data is provided for reference only;
  • any modification, assembly, or usage of RC models or components is done at your own risk.

RCLab Fans is not responsible for damage, loss, or injury resulting from reliance on Platform data.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • submit false, misleading, or intentionally incorrect information;
  • upload malware or attempt to compromise the Platform;
  • scrape, copy, or reuse Platform data for commercial purposes without permission;
  • harass, abuse, or harm other users;
  • use the Platform for unlawful activities.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design elements, logos, and non-user content on rclab are owned by or licensed to the Platform and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Platform materials may be freely used, shared, and distributed for non-commercial purposes. Attribution to rclab.fans by linking to the Platform is recommended where reasonably possible.

User-generated content remains the property of its respective users and may only be reused or redistributed with the permission of the content owner, unless such content has been explicitly made public under the Platform’s sharing settings.

8. Non-Commercial Nature and Future Changes

RCLab Fans currently operates as a non-commercial initiative.

If monetization or paid features are introduced in the future:

  • existing core functionality will not be restricted retroactively;
  • users will be informed in advance;
  • changes will aim to preserve community trust and data accessibility.

9. Termination

You may stop using rclab at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • these Terms are violated;
  • your actions threaten the security or integrity of the Platform;
  • required by law.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, rclab shall not be liable for:

  • indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
  • loss of data, configurations, or models;
  • damages resulting from User Content or third-party actions.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Principles

These Terms are intended to be GDPR-neutral and interpreted in a manner consistent with general data protection and consumer protection principles, without binding the Platform to a specific national jurisdiction unless required by law.
